Welcome to The Journey

a community for psychonauts exploring psychedelics, consciousness, and purpose.

Psychonaut; traveler of the mind, explorer of consciousness

I’m Julia. I’ve dedicated my life to spreading the magic of psychedelics through education, storytelling, and philanthropy. The Journey is the resource I wish I had when I first embarked on this path.

The Journey is designed to help you integrate psychedelics into your life — whether you seek healing, self-discovery, spiritual exploration, creativity, connection, or all of it.

The psychedelic world is as fascinating as it is confusing and complex. I created The Journey to demystify psychedelics and help you expand your understanding of how to utilize these medicines as tools to improve your life.

You’ll receive practical tips, curated resources, and personal essays to keep you educated, accountable to your integration, and inspired to navigate the medicine path with intention, confidence, and trust.

“The only journey is the one within.” - Rainer Maria Rilke

The journey from the mind to the heart is the longest journey you’ll ever take. But you don’t have to do it alone.

Thousands have joined The Journey, including psychiatrists, psychotherapists, policymakers, pastors, medicine guides, executives, athletes, and artists. Whether you’re completely new to the topic, dipping your toes in, or a veteran psychonaut — The Journey is a home for all those on the path inward.

Why am I doing this?

Back in 2018, my life was perfect on paper. I was getting my MBA at Columbia, living a life that resembled Gossip Girl (for better or worse), and had a cushy consulting job lined up post-graduation. But behind the closed doors of my little Chelsea studio, I was spiraling. Stuck in a decade-long eating disorder, recurring episodes of depression, isolation, substance abuse, and an unfulfilling career. Nothing helped.

I had made a career from my problem-solving skills, but could not solve the one problem that mattered: How do I make life worth living?

Through divine intervention, I stumbled upon Michael Pollan’s How To Change Your Mind. Intentional psychedelic journeys went on to transform every aspect of my life: my health, career, relationships, and well-being. These medicines not only helped me recover from mental illness but created a life filled with connection and purpose.

I now live a quiet little introvert life in Southern California with my partner and our two dogs Theo and Frankie, who love nothing more than beach fetch. In my free time, you’ll find me on the yoga mat, reading and writing, or hunting for the best foods, cuddles, and nature spots. In my day job, I’m a non-profit strategist working towards widespread access to psychedelic medicine.
