Hi, welcome to The Journey, I’m so glad you’re here.
I thought it would be lovely to introduce ourselves to foster connection among this beautiful community. The journey inward can be inherently isolating unless we’re surrounded by people also walking this path. Let’s connect and change that.
Here are some prompts:
〰️ What’s your name and where are you from?
〰️ What brought you here, on the journey inward?
〰️ What are you most interested in? What do you hope to get out of The Journey?
I’ll kick things off in the comments and hope to see you there.
Thanks again for being here, I can’t wait to learn more about your journey.
I’m Julia (or Jules for friends of the internet & IRL), and I live right by the ocean in LA. I’m an advocate for psychedelic medicine and root cause approaches to healing. After struggling with an eating disorder, depression, and PTSD for much of my life, I found my way to psychedelics which changed everything. I dedicated my life to getting these root cause modalities to more people, both in my day job in the non-profit world & through my creative pursuits online. Writing online has become my most cherished practice for integration. Fave topics: psychedelics, consciousness (both the mysteries and metaphysics of it), creativity, purposeful living, indigenous and natural wisdom, anything spirituality.
I'm Shuna Morelli, from Washington state, and I dove head first into the re-emergence of psychedelic medicines about a year ago. I worked with Peruvian ayahuascaros 24 years ago—before it was a "thing"— and that medicine has informed my life for a quarter century! Now, I geek out on all the research, have become a psychedelic guide, and even just published a delightful novel about The Psychedelic Discoveries of Jenni P. Perkins. That's the subtitle. The title is 49 Days, a nod to Rick Strassman and his seminal book The Spirit Molecule. Anyway, Jules, thank you for your writings. I actually read each one I receive, and am always delighted. :)
