I know you mean well, but you are missinformed about Bill Wilson, you said:

"...his acid trip informed much of the AA philosophy." Bill took his last drink in 1935 and in 1939 he had written and AA published the "Big Book" wihich to this day remains the primary text of AA, it saved my life! It contained his fully formed philosophy of recovery. While Bill remained sober the rest of his life, he suffered terribly from depression, I think that was his primary personal reason to experiment with LSD--but he was also very hopeful it would be helpful to alcoholics. AA has always been very open minded to any other means of getting sober, whatever works is okay by them!

I thoroughly agree with the microdose sentiment and the nature-based set/setting recommendation. I specifically prefer a warm sunny day with a cool body of water to swim in. The sun wraps around you like a blanket. The water refreshes you and invigorates you. Nature is infinitely entertaining and intriguing, which I think is important.

LSD can be a bit exhausting with how lengthy the experience is, but if you’re prepared then it’s not a problem. One of my favorite things about LSD vs Psilocybin is your ability to eat food and play around in your body. Food can be an incredible experience. Fruit can burst visuals into your mind and you can seemingly visualize tastes.

I believe the most important thing anyone can do on a psychedelic journey is submit to the experience, but recognize you still have some agency to navigate towards or away from thoughts or hallucinations. Like navigating a dense crowd. I also believe experiences are almost always positive when you wake up feeling rested and mentally confident. The setting of your mind on the day of consumption is very important IMO.

I would like to attempt micro-dosing LSD. The problem is finding it from a trusted source. Last time I was ripped off for $150 online and do not have a local connection. Finding mushrooms are easy and found trusted source for them.
