Amen to this! In my practice of meditation/contemplation the way to clearing the mind is to pay attention to the senses. What am I seeing, smelling, touching, and hearing? This trains the attention to return to its ability to absorb into the senses. It’s all about what we give our attention to… ♥️
Love this Korie. Yes it is definitely an expression of meditative practices. I remember reading in a DBT therapy skills book a few years ago about this 5-4-3-2-1 practice -- notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can taste and 1 you can smell or something like this, and I thought it was so mundane. Took me years to understand why this is deeply profound and actually works 🫠

I have an adult child with anxiety - and I have used the 5-4-3-2-1 technique countless times to help him relax and re-center. It works!!!
That's amazing!!!
Delicious, ticklish, reminiscently sublime!
Thanks Don, I feel very seen, I'm a big tickler 🥰
a big yes to this... thank you!
Glad it resonated Peter!! 🙏
Yes to all of this! Our senses communicate so much. The awareness of them, brings us back to Earth!
Absolutely 😍 They are the greatest gift--our tether to our beautiful world.
